"I have some of these socks from about 10 years ago and they have held up incredibly well, finally loosing elasticity at the cuff in the past few months (which is why I didn't need to buy new ones for 10 years, amazing!). However, these new ones have been pilling at the heel and toe in just the first couple of weeks of wear, and generally don't seem anywhere near as sturdily made as the old guys. Time will tell how long they hold up, but so far I am disappointed."
