Not as thick or warm as expected
"After almost 10 years decided to take up ice climbing again. Found some old Dahlgren pairs that used to be my favorite in the New England winters so decided to get more. Unfortunately the quality difference is noticeable. The new ones are nowhere as thick or warm and the fit isn’t as comfortable either. Still better than Smartwool but will look somewhere else for alpaca socks."

"I was hoping the XL Summit socks would cover the calf. For whatever reason, these XL socks only go about 2/3rds of the way up my calf. Also surprised that your heaviest sock material is not as heavy as I was expecting. Still, the color scheme is attractive and the fit around the foot and ankle is great."
